Luísa Aleixo was born in Praia do Carvoeiro, Algarve, in 1962. She began painting in 1981.
Luísa´s paintings are a celebration of the architectural beauty of Algarve's buildings, especially churches.
Her color is selective rather than imitative and her love of the universal blueness of the Algarve's sky is a counterpoint for a subtle palette of warm oranges, reds, yellows and ochres.
Her themes in their tranquil beauty remind us the cultural heritage, which should be preserved at all cost.
